Hi, people! I have a similar problem with my JVC GR-DVL355. I had a problem transferring my video to the PC, and to be sure that the heads are clean I took out the tape. They looked OK, so I inserted the tape again. The mechanism closed, but I never heard the motor for the heads. And now I got the E01 error and safeguard mode. Removing the battery doesn't help, carefully shaking or tapping against the device doesn't help either. I can't get the tape out, I can't record and I can't play. What the hell does E01 mean? How can I get rid of that error? Any ideas? Please? Cheers! J.R.
