Many thanks for your Quick Fix. We thought this would be a good starter camera for my 10 year old son. He really enjoys taking pictures and was disappointed when the screen went all white. At first I thought he might have dropped it and damaged something. But a Google search brought me to your fix and it worked perfectly.

  Glad I could assist with fixing your son's Sony DSC-S40 with the white/blank LCD screen problem. My own son (age 21) had the problem originally which lead me to discover the Quick Fix.
  
  I agree, it is a good camera with lots of features. Hopefully it will continue to work for him now and he can grow into the advanced features.
  
  Now that it is fixed, ask him to take some more pics!
