Home | Previous messageHi all, I have one trick for solve this problem, the first is your picture tube maybe at this time is bad, Sony use a special circuit called "IK" you can bypass the IK using only 3 diodes 1n4148, the diodes can be purchase in www.jameco.com for $0.30 each you only need to cut the trace in the CRT board which said IK and conect the anode of the each diode in the Jungle IC in the pins called RGB, put together the 3 catoth and conect the catoth in the pin which said IK in the Jungle IC, and you can use your TV for several years. At this time maybe you dont understand all that I said, but if someone wants a circuit diagram for bypass the IK feel free for email me, I send you the diagram, and short explain how the IK works. I hope this info will be help. Saludos from Costa Rica the rain forrest country.

Gracias por las recomendaciones, Ricardo. Podrias, tal vez, ponerlas en you tube o en Do it Yourself (DIY) ?? El diagrama serviria de gran ayuda. I am in the same boat as you. Can you send me the IK bypass circuit schematic and directions. It will help my son alot. My set is a KV 32s15 Hi Ricado, I just saw your post on Pechorin.com, and was wondering if you could further explain this whole IK thing for Sonys? I got a Sony flat screen and the screen turns on and off on it's own randomly. Thanks, Napoleon If u could send it to me i would greatly appreciate it thanks robert Thnx Recardo. Its really worked. Its not much difficult to do with your step by step instructions. Thank you very much. The IK bypass circuit looks like a good solution. I'm interested to hear from qualified Sony TV repairmen whether this solution is safe fix. Is the picture tube really going bad, or is this a Sony design problem? The problem appears to be fairly common. |
