Home | First message in thread | Previous messageWhat you mention would suggest a much simpler fault than possibly thought, as the section you refer to is not connected to the area that you made the repair in. I would have a look at the IR control pick up sensor to make sure that you haven't either bent it out of position, unwittingly disconnected it or alternatively accidentally blocked its view when you re-assembled the chassis.

All advice is appreciated and this forum alrewady helped solve the "main" problem (C926). But, in this case I sort of looked at all those simple issues first. The remote control receiver sits on the same small board as the five front panel buttons, just below the tube. All buttons works fine. The board is connected back to the mainboard via 5-pole ribbon cable. Will have to place TV (heavy) on its "belly" again and open it up and "wiggle" around. Will let you know outcome when done. Hopefully is is like you said something very simple. |
