I saw your posting on PECHORIN'S site under JVC postings. I have the error message which switches between remove battery and remove tape safe guard mode. the model number is GR-d275U. I am drivbing myself crazy trying to fix. i took it to best buy where I got it and they looked at it but said they couldn't help. :( Haven't been able to use it since Christmas.
