I have a GR-D244U and can not get it to work with my PC. Several calls to support have not been any help. I think I need drivers but JVC support tells me they do not have drivers, Linda

    hello, i had the same problem with the same model of camera. with enough rooting around on the internet i learned that my IRQ in my computer was messing it up. what was causing my problem was i had a pci soundblaster sound card that was running on the same IRQ. i took the card out and now it works perfectly! in other words, if you have some type of pci firewire card, its probably something else in another pci slot causing it to not work. try moving the cards around to different slots to see if it resolves the problem.

    Manufacturers only supply a driver disc with the camcorder at time of purchase and its not an "after sales" purchasable item. (and not just applying to JVC) Info on alternative means of downloading supplied via "DIRECT" e-mail.
