Home | Previous messageHi there I have a JVC stereo model no CA-s50RBK and it has worked fine for the past 12 years I have moved house and we had a problem with the electricity supply. It flicked on and then straight off a few times. However when this stopped the stereo upstairs, which was working, stopped working. I thought the fuse had blown but i have checked that and the fuse is ok. Do you have any ideas what i can do before i open it up? Is there an internal fuse? Really hoep you can help Martyn

Yes there will be an internal fuse fitted of a value rated between 1&2 amps, and if the model you mention has a transformer type power supply fitted rather than the more modern SMPS (switched mode) the fuse could well have blown, as all inductive load power units can draw heavy overload currents when the power supply is interrupted at a reasonably high speed. |
