Hi, Have you tried www.partstore.com. Only thing you need to watch out for is that they might state that the part is in stock. You then order it and find out weeks later that they didn't have it. Best thing to do is to call them up and if they say that it is on back order then decline buying it. They did that with some 30+ year old parts I ordered and let's face it the manufacturer doesn't keep producing parts for equipment that old. You either have it in stock or you don't. Good Luck.     Hey Bruce, Thanks for the idea to contact www.partstore.com . I am not sure if I called them or not back when I bought this pre-amp in late 2005. I decided not to worry about the silly volume knob. I should probably use that money to purchase the replacement laser block for my similar vintage X303ES CD-player. I love the early Sony ES gear...top notch. Best, Tim
