My parents are having the same problem. They paid $100 for someone to look at it to tell them the blue bulb burned out. Sony said they stopped making blue bulbs, so the service guy did something to make it work without the color blue. The picture was a little on the green side but the tv worked for a while. Now the red bulb justed went over the holidays and they need to pay $186 for a new one plus $100 for service. What a ripoff!

I am having the same issue but my screen is turning Blue instead of Green. I have called but sony but they just referred me to a service center where they want a $100 just to look at it. He said if it was the bulbs that have gone bad then it would be about $800 + $100 to fix. NO WAY!!

They said that if is was the bulbs that went bad that you would have to replace all three and that was estimated to be about $800 more. NO WAY!! Please let me know if you have any better luck.
