HomeVertical lines on LCS view screen with no real image and no video through eyepiece. My wife bought me a used camera for Christmas and it worked fine until about a day or two before she gave it to me. She said that first it said the lens cap was on even though it wasn't and ever since then the eye piece doesn't work at all and the LCD screen shows only extremely blurred images with vertical lines. I also noticed one horizontal line moving around. Any ideas?

Full info supplied via direct e-mail. Actually, what happened was I charged it for about 1 1/2hrs, then when I turned it on, the light came on & red lines were all over the LCD screen & in the viewfinder. The light was stuck on, and I finally had to shine it at a light for it to turn off, but the lines were still there. This happens with or without a tape in. The viewfinder didn't stop working until a couple of days later. I'm also not sure if it's new or used. It has a full manufacturer's warranty with it. |
