    Hello, I have the same problem could you please advise me what to do. I have tried to reset, but it made no difference! what is the "Free repair" you spoke about, and how do I obtain it, please. regards and thank you, Maureen.

    I can not believe it!! I too have this problem. Viewing playback ok Recording on Battery, screen blank, 'remove lens cap'message etc. I would be very grateful if you could send me the fix info. I am the original owner of this camera. Kind regards, Pete
