I had the same problem, so my husband goes online and googles "turn power off and then on again" and came up w/ this website, so he figured why not give it a try the camera is broken already, so he drops it to the floor and couldn't believe his eyes when that message didn't pop up again. Unbelieveable. Sony told me it was going to cost $180 to fix it and the solution was here all along. Thanks to all of you with the same problem.
