Anyone else have problems with JVC TV #AV48WP30

JVC TV Model #AV48WP30 Serial # 14759663A Same problem as previous inquiry. No previous problems. Turn T.V. on an color all blurry - could not read writing because of colors. Tried adjusting CRT Color Convergence - it will not 'fix' all the way, then slides off again. When TV turned off and then on again - back to where ti started. Is there any way to get it to fix all 9 points? Is there a way to lock in what has been fixed? Is this TV worth fixing? It is 3 years old. Thanks Langley

I just had the same problem with my 56" JVC, 3 years old. I had to have it repaired cost me around 300.00. The repairman replaced 3 parts, 2 convergence IC part # STK392-110, and resitor 2.2 ohms on board marked R842. You can easily get to these items by taking the front cover off the TV. You must be good with soldering to keep from damaging the board when replacing these parts. My TV had a red ghost and the convergence would move either. The repairman said this is a common problem with JVC tvs due to the heat, heat sink compound must be applied to the back of these parts before installed ( very important). Hope this helps Jerry
