Re: KODAK CX6330 ERROR CODE E45

nad Posted Nov 09, 2006, in response to:DOUG WOOD

I have a Kodak CX6330 and I was getting error E45 as well - once the lens had gone out, it wouldn't go back in and close upon switching off the camera. I opened up the camera (if you can't find a screwdriver tiny enough, use a simple utility knife! you can break off the tip a little bit and it fits) ..then I CLEANED the circular metal contact surface under the selection dial carefully. ALSO, what I think was the main problem, was that one of the four contact plates (right underneath the selection dial), was bent backwards a bit. So I used a tiny pincette from a swiss pocket knife to fix it. And that was it, then I put the cover and batteries back, switched the camera on and it worked fine, no error E45 anymore, YAY! That’s it from me, hope it works for you too. greetings, nadia
