i have a $2200 dollar 57" piece of sh-- sony projection tv that is only 3 years old. 6 months of that time, it had this blinking light thing happening. that blinking light and the number of times it blinks guides you to the diagnosis of what's wrong with it in the repair manual. but that's not the real issue. got a letter from sony yesterday, told us the board we needed is "no longer available", we need to send out board in for repair at cost to us, and if it cannot be repaired, we will not be charged. this means there is a chance i blew $2200 on this piece of junk and will have no recourse. had to share this with you. good luck.
