HomeSony 32" TV KV-32V40 remains in standby mode. When i turned it on , the red led comes on or flickers, but no picture , no sound . Sony 32" TV KV-32V40 remains in standby mode. When i turned it on , the red led ( of Stand by Mode and Stereo) comes on or flickers, but no picture , no sound . I removed the power for about 12 hours, but still the same thing. my sony tv is in standby mode is there anything I can do to fix the problem look like everyone is having the same problem HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 mine has the same problem, the standby light flashes two times, then puases, then flashes two times... it continues to do this.. with no picture. i have seen in the forums, that everyone is having this same problem, most have said the "D" board is bad... worst thing is paying $600 for a t.v. that is junk, i could of paid less then $300 at walmart for junk.. i hope somebody sues sony, add me to the list of names for suing them for charging to repair an obvious defect.. MY SONY 52 INCH TV IS ALSO ON STANDBY MODE. I TURN IT ON AND THE RED STANDBY LIGHT BLINKS BUT THERE IS NO SOUND AND NO NOISE. I HAVE CALLED FOR A QUOTE AND HOW MUCH IT WILL COST ME AND ITS ABOUT &375.00. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO TAKE CARE OF THIS WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY SO MUCH MONEY!? PLEASE HELP! The same thing was happening to my 27" SonY Trinitron. Had a TV repair guy look at it, he said the transformer had burnt out. Estimated repair $300.....yeah right. |
