If they are going to pack that much into one area they should install a small cooling fan into their electronics. I have panasonic DVD changers and other various brands and none of these ever have this problem. I am starting to think Sony is an overrated brand. I know there are quite a few people with this problem. Thanks for the reply. I guess I will write to Sony, or go buy a new one in a different brand since I haven't been able to use my so-called high quality Sony receiver for about 8 months.

My sony receiver would flash protect and shut down if i turned the volume past 43. I disabled the center channel in the set up options and it works fine now. I don't have a center channel, but at least I can listen to music with full surround and subwoofer at max volume. Maybe this is an option for you. |
