We charged the battery all the way and i tried to put an old tape in it. when i did, i got sound, but no picture. it almost seems like the lens cap is on or something, but its not. any help would be appreciated. thanks

The "lens cap" problem only manifests itself when you put the camcorder in the "camera" mode in preparation to video something and find you cannot see any image in the viewfinder / LCD. If you insert a previously recorded tape (from some time ago) and you cannot view it either then thats "not" the lens cap problem, but possibly an LCD or board fault. |
