John, Just browsing for someone with a problem like mine when I stumbled across yours. I had my convergence problem fixed a year ago for 400$. On 09/09/06 I got the blank display with heartbeat sound and flashing blue power light. Just wondering if you found the cause. I am guessing power supply problem and a new tv in my near future.
