I had my tv repaired (JVC AV-48WP30) on year ago to the day. Now, I'm having the same problems and don't want to pay another $400.00. Can you help me?

    I have jvc tv for 3 years and i got a intense red and squirl screen now. Not sure where to start and no jvc people around. It sounds like an convergence issue but not too sure

    Hi. I am having the same problem as everyone else, what a bummer! TV is 3 years old, so lookes like it lasted a year longer than most!. Eric could you send me the info to repair it myself? Is it very involved and could I cause more harm than good?? Thanks Brenda

      Brenda You didn't post an email address so I can't send you anything. Basically what you need to do is remove the Convergence Output Circuit Board and replace the two Output IC's. You'll need some soldering/desoldering skills and an ohmmeter to check some resistors as well. Eric

  My Blue convergence when out this past weekend. I've had the unit since 2003. Is this an expensive repair?
