Homeunknown symbol and lens cap warning is appearing on screen. Our video camera tells us to take the lens cap off when it is not on. The screen is dark, it will record sound but not picture. We are getting a symbol of a man on the left, two arrows pointing in opposite directions in the middle and mountains on the right.

I have just had this problem with my GR-D53AA after the battery went flat on me. I believe that the configuration was corupted when the battery went flat. I tried numerous menu resets that didnt fix the problem. I went through the menus and toggled all the settings to try and clear the fault and my camera is now working OK. I dont know what I did to fix the problem. I have been trying to find out if there is a factory reset option that will fix this problem if I experience it again. |
