HI- I have a GR-D395U ser. no 061N0438 digital vide recorder. I just spent two hours trying to get it to work- have read the manual 3 times. When I turn on the cdamera into record mode (with a tape inside) the lcd (& or viewfider) flashes "lenscap"- the lenscap is off- there is no image/picture through either at anytime. I zooomin andout- you can see the lens inside moving and here the sounds of machinery working- but still no image. There is no description of this in troubleshooting. Please help- I bought this camera to film my wedding which is in two days! Megan
