HomeProblems with a JVC MX-GT700. All of a sudden it quit playing CDs. I have a JVC MX-GT700 that all of suddenly quit playing CDs. It will not open disc tray, nor play a CD. It thinks the tray is open. Anybody know how to fix? It makes a noise when you first turn it on and then gets an error on the display. Everything else (tape and FM tuner works fine) It appears that it may be a board that went bad.

i hear ya about jvc..i bought a hx-d7 on june 11/06..it worked for two weeks,then would have protection flash across screen and shut down..went out to a jvc repair centre got it back 5 weeks later..worked for 2 min,then same thing,so went out to another jvc centre ,got it back sept 9..worked till oct 4..called jvc head office in toronto,was told to bring it to them now..so they get oct 5..so how long to fix?or how long will it work for?...jvc said they will not replace it or take it back....i'll never buy any thing from jvc.. mine wont play cds either its the f-in make piece of s**t! Nope I have the same problem Mine did the EXACT SAME THING my belt broke is How I knew it was broke but I replaced the belt and noe it does not work the door opens and closes but It does not play I will never buy another JCV as long as I live U think I would have learned a while ago on my truck But no I wanted to give them a second try well thats it for me I will tell everyone not to buy any JVC stuff ever unless u want it to brake |
