Hello Linda. What did you end up doing with this? Our home (was built in 1970) also has the old Nutone N2561/2562 installed. And like you, we have oodles of speakers all over the house (and outside as well). We've been in our house about 3 years, and are now looking to upgrade ours as well. Did you ever upgrade to the IM4406? If so, was it easy? Ugly? Did you need to rewire anything (I hope not!).
