HomeNeed compatibility/upgrade info. please We just bought a home with a Model N2561 - N2562 and several speaker installed. We'd like to add on to or upgrade the system. Does anyone have any info. on compatibility or upgrade options? We've also got some strange faceplates in each room between the baseboard and speaker with 2 prongs and have no idea what these are...I'm assuming they go with the intercom system, but you know how assuming goes! Hello Linda. What did you end up doing with this? Our home (was built in 1970) also has the old Nutone N2561/2562 installed. And like you, we have oodles of speakers all over the house (and outside as well). We've been in our house about 3 years, and are now looking to upgrade ours as well. Did you ever upgrade to the IM4406? If so, was it easy? Ugly? Did you need to rewire anything (I hope not!). I am very curious as while it seems so simple to swap out the boxes, it seems very involved as well! Please let me know if u you had any luck!! Thanx!
