Home | First message in thread | Previous messageThis technique worked for me as well. I'm glad I tried it. My wife was telling me not to do it. It took about 10 drops to get it to work. However, I noticed that the drop that worked was the drop where I let the bottom of the camera hit the floor from about 2 feet (with the lens retracted). I read on another post that someone just wacked the bottom of his camera ... I believe that is the angle to shock the gears back on track. My camera type is a Sony DSC-W1. Joe Russell
