HomeDSC F717 Blank screen when turned on Hi, Any ideas guys what happened to my DSC F717. When it has been turned on...it has been black blank on the screen. I tried different dials S/A/M/P/Video/SCN everything is blank. [its like i have not remove the cap from the lens]. There is no problem on the LCD for i can still see my old pictures on the review. I have tried using the finder and still blank. All the indicators can be seen on the screen except the image from the lens [that is why its blank?] Any suggestions? Thanks I used this camera for 2 yrs now and has no problem before.

I just fixed one F717 camera with no image problem. It was actually lens problem, not CCD, and Sony won't fix this for free. I suggest to get it checked before it's sent to Sony. I have my camera and its out of warranty. I received a note from Sony and I assume its a chargeable??? for £114.00!!! Is this really should be charged?
