Re: Sony DSC MVC camera repairs

Hi Alex,
I have a DSC-S75. When I turn it on the lens motor seems to be stuck. It won't open or close the lens. I can hear it trying to work and thena message on the LCD says to turn the camera off and then back on. Same thing happens. I've tried taking the battery out and waiting 15 seconds and that doesn't work either. I've tried a different battery and I know the batteries are charged.
What do I do? Can this be fixed?

It looks like a lens problem. Yes, it can be fixed.

Heather DeCarlo - 30th Jun 2006 0:42 I have a DSC-S90 whose lens will not retract. Can it be fixed, too? Is there a place to get discount parts to fix it ourselves? Please advise.
We gave it to our daughter in January and already we have a problem!
Thanks!
Heather DeCarlo
