I have this same stereo and every year with the time change I have this problem. I press the sel button and hold and demo/off demo shows up but not the other menu items. If I just hold until demo goes away it goes back to the normal screen. Please help me figure this out.

I have the JVC KD-S690 and managed to change the hour but not the minutes. The M will flash but when I used the volume control to adjust it, it switches to volume instead of changing the minutes. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

with radio on, press and hold inner select button(on left of radio), when (h) or (m) displays, turn "volume" knobe left or right. good luck..
