Re[2]: JVC service or questions

Alan Posted Jan 24, 2006, in response to:Jay Biggs

Hi, I have had exactly the same problem - the camera worked fine last time I used it and when I went to use it at Christmas - the exact same problem occurred. I was wondering if you have had any luck in resolving the issue and would be very interested to know the outcome. I think it's an absolute disgrace - considering the cost of these camcorders in the first place. Many Thanks, Alan

Hi there, well...I had a slight result. A JVC customer services person contacted me via a very brief e-mail. He told me tat he could help me if I sent him my warranty...Problem is (this is why it's only a "slight" result) the camera isn't new, it's just not old. And what with moving house and everything I have no idea where that warranty is, plus the fact that it expired last year. I don't really know what to do really. I haven't replied to the e-mail yet as i've been ridiculously busy over the past few weeks. I'll send a reply within the next few days and see what kind of result I get. I'll keep you posted. On another note: If you're having the exact same problem (as many before us), i'd dig out your warranty and check the date. Even if it has expired they may still repair your camera free of charge. They (in my mind) should do as it's the least they can do for selling faulty equipment. I'll keep you updated...
