Hi there Rex thanks heaps for your reply - I have since discovered that the cam is still under warranty - unbeknowns to me we purchased an extended warrant that I thought had already expired but no it hasnt - what a bonus !! so cam has gone in for repairs to a place in Brisbane - with a bit of luck the problem will be fixed permanently thanks again Jenny
