Korg D1600

Help with D1600

I'm a recording studio engineer and I have good knowledge of the Korg D1600. I can probably help anyone though it without too much difficulty. Mine was used quite a bit before I got a good Mac & Pro Tools. It's a good machine, but I sold it to a friend. I regret it now because it's easier than Pro Tools for live stuff because you don't need to carry a computer and a mixer or rack interface. It's also more fun than Pro Tools and easier to learn as well. In short, the D1600's better for songwriters but Pro Tools or Digital Performer is better for engineers or producers. It isfar more expandable better for production E-Mail me with any questions on the D16100 or for general pro audio issues.

Hello ! My name is mike and I have recently recieved a korg d 1600 in which I purchased about 2 weeks ago. I am familar with track recorders but, this one seems to be sort of a pickle. Heres is the problem : I don't quite understand how to listen to a beat I have on an audio cd. I would like to record this particular track into my d1600/ perform vocals and, write the finish progect to a blank cd I did follow the instructions in the manual but, I cannot even hear the cd to be recorded. Pleas help me in getting audio from the CDR/RW drive section in easier to understand instructions. Thank You

I have the D1600 everything works great but am having trouble recording my vocals. I have a very dynamic voice, I have a tendency to over drive mics. If I sing quite enough so I dont clip I Dont get a good sound of my vocal. How do I fix that, what effects/tools should I use on my vocals. I use a sure sm58 mic. Thanks Billy

I have done some recordings that I have bounced to 2 tracks and have the final audio just as I want it, however, when I write to disc the master effect I have applied (and can hear through the monitors) does not get to the finalized disc. I have poured over the manual and can not figure out what I am missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks in advance!! Russ

Hi Thomas, I've just recently bought the Korg D1600 2nd hand and would like to learn more about how to use it best. The instruction manual (170 odd pages) looks like a long read!! Do you have any short cuts to get me up and running sooner? Cheers Kenny
