Re[3]: Sony DSC MVC camera repairs

Carrie Posted Dec 18, 2005, in response to:Alex

I have had this problem with my dsc-p5 also. I have 3 different batteries (2 sony and 1 energizer). I get about 3 pictures before the low battery light blinks and shuts off. But I can turn the camera on and take 3 more pictures..., this continues until I turn the camera on and it shuts off immediately or I can't turn the camera on. I have a battery charger that I stopped using because I thought it might not be charging the batteries properly so I have been charging the batteries in the camera but still have the same result. I find it hard to believe that I have 3 bad batteries. I have also heard that this is a documented problem with this camera but can't seem it find any info. when I google. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I love this camera but have been looking into getting a new one, wish I didn't have to though. Thanks!

I also had this problem, but found that it was because the battery was not making a good enough connection to the camera. Try pushing the battery in further and then placing something between the battery and the door to keep the battery in place. gp

If you are positive that batteries are good, you can send me your camera and I will take a look. Please get back to me by email, just click on my name. Thanks.
