I am not sure what one can do about it. After spending around $3000 on this TV I am really upset that it has a life span of just 4 years (for me). Anyone know of anything we can do with Sony? Based on this thread and one that showed up about a year ago on a different posting, this TV has had this problem from very early. No other issues with this TV, it has been a great TV when it worked!

I HAVE THE SAME TV, THAT I BOUGHT IN 01. NOW THE TV IS GOING OUT, AND THEY SAY THAT IT NEED ALL 3 TUBES. COSTS APPROX. $1000.00 PLUS DALLORS, I FEEL SONY KNOWS THEY HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS, BUT ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING TO HELP. THAT IS A LOT OF MONEY FOR 6 YEARS OF USED.
