Re: JVC GR-D30 not recording?

Terry Posted Nov 23, 2005, in response to:Brian

Black LCD, huh? Has something to do with faulty seating for the CCD sensor - they used epoxy to set it in there instead of ceramic. It is my understanding that this will be repaired, free of charge, regardless of the camcorders warantee status. As I am experiencing the exact same problem as you, I'll be calling JVC tomorrow and will send it out to them on Friday, most likely. At JVC Support, Customer Information, you should be able to find out the info you need to have your unit repaired. Very inconvenient, what with the holidays coming up and all. Copy/paste this into your browser: http://www.jvc.com/support/notification/index.jsp?pageID=2 Hope this helps . . . Terry

Thank You You guys are great. I just discovered the same problem with mine and a quick google lead me here. Won't have it for the Holidays but won't have to pay to get it fixed
