I recently got the same message on all DVD's attempted. I think mine showed up in Oct, but it may have been a little longer ago, as my kids generally use that DVD and don't always me tell things in a timely manner. I tried using a lens cleaning disk with no improvement. Please let me know if you hear anything that might help resolve it. In the meantime, I'm figuring it has died and am shopping for a new (non-panasonic) DVD player (though my cynical mind tells me that brand may make little difference). As the other poster w/ this problem suggested, it would be quite easy and advantageous for manufacturers to design equipment to fail, requiring replacement (even if the technology hasn't been out-moded yet). Many other products (one example is clothes washers in particular) are known by the agents who service them to be designed for a certain life of use. Durability and longevity are not necessarily selling points for electronics. Anyway, I could rant much longer, but I won't. I just started looking for this error code online.
