I have a sony cybershot dsc-p52, I had the same error and smacked it a couple times on the back left edge while it was off, now it works! Thank you for the info. Now I have a 2nd dsc-p52 with a different issue, the lens cover jams and just makes a grinding sound when you turn it on. Any ideas on how to fix this?
