Hi There; I have a JVC GR-DVL 805 camcorder which is about 4 years old. It receives regular(approximately annually) servicing, and has provided sterling service until recently. At present, it intermittently displays a "E04- unit in safeguard mode" error message, with instructions to remove and reattach battery. (I'm sure I'm telling you information with which you are quite familiar, but anyways...) The camcorder went in to our JVC dealer for servicing, but returned with the same problem, but only more frequent in occurrence. It now occurs 60% of the times the machine is turned on.
