HomeSHUTS OFF / POWER BUTTON JUST BLINKS / POWER BUTTON WILL NOT WORK/ I HAVE TO UNPLUG IT TO MAKE IT GO BACK ON I PURCHASED IT IN FEB. OF 2003. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN ABOUT 10 TIMES IN A 2 MONTH PERIOD . ANY IDEAS ?

From what you describe, "Dead Set, Timer LED comes on" "Will only reset if unplugged", it sounds as if your TV is experiencing High Voltage or X-Ray Shutdown. There have been known problems in the sensing circuit that will shut down the set and leave the Timer LED on. Eric |
