Home | First message in thread | Previous messageFirst I need to know if the camcorder will allow the tape to load or eject? If it does, what brand tapes are you using? You may wish to try a reset procedure I will outline below and see if it works. RESET: * Remove tape from unit * Close up camcorder and power it down. * Remove power source (battery or DC cord) * Replace power source and power up camcorder. * Get a NEW JVC or even Panasonic tape. See if tape will load and function. IF the reset above has been done step by step with the recommended tapes-- then the product may need service. Try this first and go from there.

I didn't write the original post, but am having the same problem with my gr-DVL-510 except I cannot follow your reset instruction because the tape in the camcorder will not eject. I do not know the make of the tape, but I do know I have had the tape in and out of the camera several times without problem over the past couple months. Please advise to my email: Fvicarel3@aol.com First I need to know if the camcorder will allow the tape to load or eject? YES If it does, what brand tapes are you using?
