Sony DSC-F717 has a problem in CCD. Sony does not supply the CCD which is inexpensive. But they supply only the whole Lens assy.which is not economical to replace. the only other alternative is to use the CCD used in Nikon coolpix 5700 Model. Nikon dealers do not co operate in supply of spares. You may take this failure with Sony through their website http://www.sony.com
