Will the camcorder allow a tape to load and eject? If not, is a tape stuck? The E-01 is an error that may cause a tape to jam inside the unit and make it useless. If a tape will not load easily...don't force it. The unit may need to be looked at or purchase a new one due to prices going down so much. Especially on line.
