I have a TRV11E (PAL) - yes, it used to run great, I've had the C:31:30 error several times now. Right now (the 4th hard fault) I have a tape stuck in the camera - half in and half out - it won't load, and it won't unload. Power resets don't help - my next step is disassembly. After the camera let me down several times (you only know it faults when you want to use it), and after three 'repairs*' over 3 years I've decided to stop throwing away good money and buy something else. *The first repair was a component, the next 2 repairs were claimed to be clogged heads (but I take that with a pinch of disbelief).
