Home | First message in thread | Previous messageHi...My husband was in the middle of dubbing some tapes for people around the States from a Nashville showcase that the people performed. He only got a couple of tapes done. He left the room to get a glass of tea. No one enter the room while he was gone. When he return to the room the JVC cam corder went into safe mode and gave an error of E03. We have done what the manual says. But the JVC still doesn't work. He called the service department. They acted like they didn't want to talk to him. Very unfriendly. Then told him that it would cost $65 just to send it. It would cost another $150 or so to fix it. Did you ever find out how to get it out of safe mode???? If so, please e-mail me the tip. Thanks, Sherry Kugle

I too have purchased aJVC camcorder a couple of years back and its hardly used during my daughter's dance performances only. now it works either while play or record only for half an hour. then it goes to safe mode and switches off. my model is GR-SXM470A-S. I tried with many tapes with me but the result remains same. can some one help me to solve the problem? meanwhile I visited several service agents in Mumbai and they even changed my batteries which of no use. complaint still remains same. hope to hear from either JVC or elst..... Hi, well I guess it might be a mismatch with the recording modes. i.e if u recorded in sp mode in the last session and try to record in ep the next time, u get an "e03" error just on the verge where the tape swiches mode from sp to ep or ep to sp. Load a new cassette and try recording in a same mode through-out the tape. Hope this rectifies the problem. iFi |
