SCREEN FLASHES WHEN LIGHT BACKGROUND APPEARS

TV OK EXCEPT FOR PURPLE DOT IN CENTRE OF SCREEN AND PICTURE FLASHES ON AND OFF WHEN A LIGHT BACKGROUND APPEARS ESPECIALLY WHEN ADVERTS OR DVD'S ARE ON

Did you manage to solve this problem? I have the same problem bit i've moved to South AFrica as a volunteer worker and Sony SA can't seem to help me. Regards Anton
