This what ELIER wrote on 2/19/05, and basically I am having the same problem. I only have about 6 hours of taping in 1-1/2 year with this camera and no one else has handled the camera but myself. Can you help, please. (by ELIER 2/19/05) I have a JVC GR-D30 model. I could not get picture in any operation mode. I can replay back and record but only record sound no picture is taken. When I turn the camera on I get the "lens cap" message. After a while a low contrast warning message appears and stays on. I reset the camera and still does it. THIS BELOW WILL NOT APPLY IN MY CASE A friend of mine use a USB cable to donwload some image to his ilife in his powerbook. I was not present therefore I could not tell what he did. Thank you
