USA uses NTSC format and India uses PAL-B format for video. They are different in horizontal/vertical frequencies. You will not be able to view your recordings on your TV in India unless you purchased an NTSC/PAL VCR.

    Hi Eric, Thanku for the information. What about Hi8 or Digital8 camcorder....Will it work in India??....I want an inexpensive camcorder and seems MiniDV formats are expensive...Any suggestions? Regards, BJ
