HomePentax camera replacement parts I dropped my camera and the outer metal case has been bent and it is stopping the cameras function buttons working properly, the LCD screen and lens are intact adn I was wondering if any body could or new any one that coul point me in the right direction to a supplier or company that could provide a replacement outer casing, many thanks.

I just removed the rear case of my Optio S (to see how easy it would be to replace the broken LCD myself - it doesn't look like a task for ordinary mortals!), and the case comes apart fairly easily once you removwe all teh exteranlly visible screws (it hinges up towards the top of the camera. If the dents aren't too bad, I suspect you could remove the case, carefully use happer/pliers/whatever to coax it back to its original shape, and reassemble... Good luck! ghtt |
