Home | First message in thread | Previous messageThis is kind of against the theme of the message board, but I called Sony about my problem, and they said they would fix it for free. My DSC-P150 broke and would not be fixed by any of the techniques listed on the site. So, for $6 shipping, they replaced my lens and got it back to me within a week. Sure, the C/S guy tried to charge me $139, but I just kept talking to him for a while and asked to talk to his boss, and we had a deal in not time.

This is amazing I was laughing and jumping for joy at the same time. I got Sony DSC-P100 camera. We were in the middle of a fishing trip when the lens got stuck and error came up. I was SOOO frustrated with it, and I love my little camera. I had it for a little over a year and it worked just fine. So when it all happened I "helped" the lense to retract and when I got home googled the error... BINGO!!! I really din't want to take it in to get fixed and on the other had was really worried about dropping it. I simply powered the camera off and "helped" the lens and then just smacked the part of it where the lens is on my hand a couple of times and .... IT WORKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!! Such a technical solution :o) Thank you sooo much for the advice. |
