I'm not sure if you have already figured it out yourself s, but I thought I would post this anyway. What you do first is attach the belt to the ledge around the bottom of the silver platter. then you put the platter back onto the turntabe. now you can follow step number 4 in the manual. you won't have a ribbon but you can use something to attach the belt to the motor pully. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! This did the trick. They should hire people like you to write instruction manuals! I just had this problem 10/25/08, googled and found your answer! Thank you so much. I NEVER would have thought of that. dumb question then...how do u route the belt/cable if you dont have the owners manual?? i inherited this turntable and the rest of his electronics from my Dad when he passed away last week. That solution was so simple I didn't believe it at first. I spent 45 minutes trying to find a way to twist the belt around all the gears. No wonder I had trouble finding instructions on how to restring the thing, it was too obvious. |
